The Awareness Programme aims to make MSMEs understand that energy audit and conserving energy are critical issues for the financial performance and competitiveness of their enterprise.

They standardize the training content for the one-day program based on the needs of MSMEs under the PEACE scheme.

BEE-accredited Energy Auditors with experience in energy audits and conservation are engaged in the scheme, and they may be selected from BEE empaneled Energy audit firms/companies.

Organizations like PCRA and TERI, involved in the PEACE scheme, are promoted by Government Departments.

The ideal batch size is 40-50 participants, with possible exceptions for smaller batches in industrially backward districts.

The Detailed Energy Audit Report should be in PDF format with a file size less than 200 kb.

The target audience includes executives, employees, and workers of MSMEs, with an ideal batch size of 40-50 participants, which may be smaller in industrially backward districts.

At least one awareness program in each district is allocated a cost not exceeding ₹1,00,000.

Resource Persons are preferably from organizations like PCRA, India SME Tech Services Ltd (SIDBI), NPC, BEE, TERI, etc., with rich experience in energy audits and conservation.

The programs are organized by GM, DICs/RJD, Chennai, in coordination with MSMEs Associations, Product Associations, Clusters, and other Stakeholders.

The PEACE scheme encompasses four main components: Awareness Programme, Training Programme, Detailed Energy Audit, and Implementation of Energy Audit Recommendations.
