Eligibility
- The applicant should be the widow of an ex-serviceman. A ‘widow’ means the widow of a member of the Armed Forces whose death has taken place while in service but not in any battle.
- The widow should be a resident of Haryana.
- The benefit is provided for up to three children of the widow.
- The benefit continues until the child dies, attains the age of 20 years, gets married, or becomes employed, whichever is the earliest.

Who is eligible for this scheme?
The widow of an ex-serviceman who died while in service (not in battle) and who has up to three children is eligible. The widow must be a resident of Haryana.
How long does the benefit continue?
The benefit continues until each child of the widow dies, reaches the age of 20 years, gets married, or becomes employed, whichever is the earliest.
What are the benefits provided under this scheme?
The rates of additional pension vary based on the rank of the ex-serviceman: ₹100/- per child per month for Other Ranks, ₹150/- per child per month for JCO’s, and ₹200/- per child per month for Officers, subject to maximum limits.
How is the additional pension paid?
The additional pension is paid on a quarterly basis by money order or in cash, as convenient, by the Secretary of District Sainik Board.
