The Registration Process for Building and Other Construction Workers is as follows:
Step 1: The interested applicant should visit the Labor Welfare Office (during office hours) and request a hard copy of the prescribed application form from the concerned authority.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, paste a passport-sized photograph (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attested, if required). Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with a wage slip or appointment letter from the employer, verifying 90 days of construction work. If unavailable, a certificate from a local authority (such as a councilor, executive officer, or Panchayat Secretary) can be submitted to verify employment.
Step 4: After submitting the documents and payment, the worker will receive an acknowledgment receipt confirming their registration.
NOTE 1: Ensure that the application is submitted within the prescribed period, if any.
NOTE 2: After three years, the worker must visit the office to pay a renewal fee and submit proof of 90 days of work each year to maintain eligibility for benefits.
NOTE 3: A one-time registration fee must be paid at the office, and it will be valid for three years.
