The program accepts up to 15 interns.

The interns will work on different Information Technology (IT) projects, including Data Analytics (DA), regulatory business processes and reporting, and FinTech at SEBI.

The internship program is proposed to be for a contiguous period of minimum 1 year, which may comprise of either 2 semesters and 1 summer/winter internship or 3 trimesters and 1 summer/winter internship.

Interns are expected to intern at SEBI for at least 3 days a week, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays.

Candidates pursuing a full-time MBA/MCA or equivalent degree or diploma of a duration of two years, holding a full-time graduate degree in engineering or a BCA degree, having a strong aptitude for computer programming and data analytics, and with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at the graduate level or equivalent CGPA are eligible to apply. The age of the applicant should not exceed 30 years as of January 1 of the respective year, and they should be Indian citizens.

No, a basic understanding of financial markets is desirable but not mandatory.

Interns undergoing internship at SEBI for 3 days a week receive a monthly stipend of ₹25,000, and interns undergoing internship for 4 days a week receive a monthly stipend of ₹30,000. Interns are entitled to a certain number of leaves per year. Outstation candidates may be provided with unfurnished shared accommodation, subject to availability. Lunch at the SEBI office is provided, and interns receive a certificate of completion of the internship program.

Eligible institutes need to express their interest by submitting the prescribed format (Annexure 1) along with the relevant enclosures. They also need to submit the profiles of interested eligible candidates in the prescribed format (Annexure 2).
