Under the scheme, a scholarship is given to the students of Himachal Pradesh who are studying at Sainik School Sujanpur Tihra. The Scholarships will be awarded on merit-cum-means basis to such students who are eligible for admission and who actually join the Sainik Schools on the basis of a competitive entrance examination that may be held every year for this purpose.

The students who are studying in Sainik School Sujanpur Tihra and are Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh from Class VI to XII will be eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Yes, only those students shall be eligible for the award of scholarships who are Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh.

The scholarships shall be paid at the rate of ₹18000/- per annum per student.

In addition, the students will be given Dietary Money @ ₹10/- per day for 295 days. Clothing Allowance @ ₹1500/- per annum for the first year and ₹750/- per annum for the subsequent years.

The student will receive the scholarship for entire period of his/her course of education.

A scholarship once awarded to a student will continue to be awarded to him throughout this stay in the school, provided:- 1. The student makes satisfactory progress in his standard. 2. The student is not reported adversely regarding discipline. 3. No scholarship holder under this scheme draws a scholarship for financial assistance of any kind from any other source. 4. If the student fails in any Class the scholarship will be suspended for that particular class.
