Objective:

Scope:

• A monthly pension of ₹7,500/- for journalists.
• The family pension of 50% of the journalist's pension goes to the spouse after their demise.
• Lifetime pension for retired journalists who meet the eligibility criteria.

1. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand.
2. The applicant should be a journalist.
3. The applicant should have an employee as a full-time journalist/media professional for a minimum of 20 years in Jharkhand or undivided Bihar (pre-November 15, 2000).
4. The applicant should not be a pension beneficiary from any other media institution or government.
5. The applicant should have retired at the age of 58 or as per the retirement norms of the media organization.
6. The applicant should have an accreditation certificate issued by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations at the time of retirement.
7. The applicant must not have any criminal convictions leading to imprisonment of more than two years.

1. Self-declaration Affidavit (20 years of full-time service as a journalist in Jharkhand).
2. Service Duration Certificate (issued by the editor(s) of media organizations where the applicant worked).
3. Complete Details of contributions to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) for at least 20 years.
4. Accreditation Certificate (issued by the Information and Public Relations Directorate).
5. Proof of Retirement Age (58 years or organization-specific retirement letter).
6. Aadhaar Card or PAN Card for identification.
7. Bank Account Details with a nationalized bank.
8. Annual Life Certificate to be submitted in March each year.
